Studio Aeroplane is an interdisciplinary design studio founded with a vision to cultivate creativity, craftsmanship, and a lifelong learning environment for our team, collaborators, and clients. For us, design is an essential tool for crafting meaningful experiences. The diversity of thoughts and backgrounds forms the foundation of our design approach, where we bridge traditional aesthetics with innovative concepts while honoring culture and embracing future possibilities.

About People
Orn Rajsirisongsri
Co-Founder & Designer
Orn co-founded Studio Aeroplane in 2009. Prior to this, she worked as an Interior Architect at Shamir Shah Design, where she designed and managed high-end residential and hospitality projects. She later joined the New York office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) as a Senior Hospitality and Furniture Designer, developing custom furniture collections for commercial and hospitality projects.
Throughout her career, Orn has focused on the integration of spatial design and product development, balancing functional practicality with meaningful, user-focused experiences. Her work has received multiple accolades, including the Design Excellence Award (DEmark) from Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion and the Good Design Award (G-Mark) from the Japan Institute of Design Promotion. In addition to her role at Studio Aeroplane, Orn has collaborated with furniture companies on product development and served as a guest critic and speaker at academic institutions in Thailand and abroad.
Orn’s educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The Ohio State University and a Master's degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in New York. She also completed a program on Scandinavian furniture design at Danmarks Designskole in Copenhagen.
Saranont Limpananont
Co-Founder & Designer
Saranont co-founded Studio Aeroplane in 2009. Prior to this, he worked on interactive innovation projects at Smart Design. He later joined Antenna Design New York as a Concept/User Experience Designer, where he worked on designing new paradigms and developing conceptual groundworks for future products and environments.
Driven by a deep interest in mathematics, art, and systemic design, Saranont explores the intersections of these disciplines through both his professional practice and independent research. His portfolio includes consulting for governmental and public-sector organizations, as well as creating artworks that examine the relationship between humans, technology, and nature. In addition to his role at Studio Aeroplane, he currently serves as a Creative Director and Service Design Specialist at Future Curiosity Lab, Bangkok City Lab. He has also been a guest speaker at several universities in Thailand, discussing topics from interaction design to systemic design to creative thinking.
Saranont’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and a Master’s degree in Interaction Design/New Media Technology from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at the Tisch School of the Arts.
